Antisocial locks your most distracting apps behind a physical NFC tag. The only way to open Instagram is to get up and walk to it.
How it works
Stick a cheap NFC sticker on a shelf in another room. A hallway beats a bedside table. A kitchen beats a hallway.
Add the apps that eat your time — Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube. Antisocial blocks them at the system level.
Tap your phone to the tag and your apps open for a set window — 5, 15, or 30 minutes. When it ends, they lock again.
Features
Register tags in different rooms and name them by location. Each one unlocks all your protected apps.
Pick 5, 15, or 30-minute windows. When time's up, everything locks. More time means another walk.
Track how much time you're actually spending — and how much you've cut back. The numbers don't lie.
Remove locked apps from the launcher entirely — no icon, no temptation. They simply disappear until you unlock.
Enable this and your apps lock automatically whenever the phone is charging. Great for evenings.
Everything stays on your device. No sign-up, no cloud sync, no data leaving your phone.
“The urge to check is a reflex. Antisocial makes you act on it physically before you can indulge it — and that's usually enough to stop.”
Willpower is finite. The apps are designed by teams of engineers to maximise your time on them. Adding a single, physical step breaks the reflex loop — and most of the time you won't bother to make the walk.
Antisocial is currently in development. Leave your email and we'll let you know when it's ready to download.
